Albrecht Company was founded in 1968 by Dwayne Albrecht. At that time, Dwayne had just moved to the Twin Cities from his family farm in order to attend school at the University of Minnesota. To pay for school, Dwayne started mowing lawns for some of his professors.

Dwayne quickly started getting requests to take on various landscape projects including the installation of some of the earliest residential automatic irrigation systems in Minnesota. Dwayne was able to use the skills he had learned on the farm to become a leader in the green industry in the Twin Cities.

Over the years, Albrecht Company has continued to expand and improve on the solid foundation that Dwayne created. After Dwayne passed away in 2013, Joy Albrecht took over as the current owner of Albrecht Company.

Joy is assisted by her two sons Ed and Ray, her nephew Matt, and over a dozen loyal and experienced employees.
